Multi-media Journalism, Introduction

Course Catalog Description

Course designed for students to gain hands-on experience with professional grade creation and editing tools (Adobe Creative Cloud suite) for an introductory exploration on how these tools are used to create engaging and informative journalism.

Course Overview

The course lessons combine production planning (ideation, story board, mood board, clip file, story pitch, etc.) and design principles (color theory, typography, visual design, audio design, etc.) with Adobe apps (Lightroom, Photoshop, InDesign, Audition, Premiere) to build a portfolio of projects and products. In addition to hand-on learning in the classroom, the course introduces outside materials and resources for continual learning long after the end of the semester.
